Last weekend was a long weekend with deepavali on Monday.
Saturday, we went for Kayden's 1st flu vaccination at the PD.
Now whenever we are at the doc's, he gets real scared of him. Even when the doc wanna touch him or hear his heartbeat, he will turn away immediately. Maybe he knows something, he thought that this person wanna do something bad to him.....INJECTION.
Haha....cannot escape though. He still kena poke with the needle. This time round he whine just a little, probably its not as painful as the pneumo jab.
As usual, scared that he will have fever, so will gave him a dosage of the paracetamol after that. No fever seen at all after that.
The 2nd flu vaccination as per doc needs to be 4 weeks after which will be on 6th Dec, 11am.
Then we had lunch and back home with some housechores and resting.
Out for dinner at Hougang coffeeshop and went prawning again at pasir ris.
Sunday, went AMK hub, then head to tampines for frog porridge. Yummy.
Had this craving sometimes already and finally get to eat it. :D
Monday, went JB for some shopping. It was smooth driving when we set off. But traffic wasn't so pretty when we were heading back home. Its expected as due to the long weekends where ppl just went back hometown or for holiday and heading back home for the work next day.
As usual, bought few packs of wet wipes, big & small ones, some clothings for kayden and some groceries.
That ended our long weekend.

Kayden is sick..
Was on childcare leave last 2 days to take care of my poor kiddo.
He was having fever for 2 consecutive days.
It all started with mild flu then lead to coughing and then fever.
His fever can go up to 39.3 degrees....sighz
Went to the doc and was told that we need to feed him the burofen & paracetamol alternately for 3 days. He had caught a bad cold. Sighz....must be gotten it at fidgets that day. Poor boy.
But my sis was telling me that there is flu virus in the air and lots of children are having the same symptons. Anyway, all mummies gonna be very careful with your child ya..
Today I'm back at work.
Kayden is now at inlaws place and recovering though there's still mild fever going on.
But i can tell u I was totally stressed out for that 2 days at home.
Luckily derrick was there with me on the 1st day.
Kayden was super duper cranky, grouchy, demanding, easily getting into crying mode, plus super clingy all the way.
This is my 1st time encountering all this and really didnt know that babies mood can change so drastically. Think he is so uncomfortable throughout that he is so clingy to me, think he needs some sense of security and comforting from someone, poor boy.
In the middle of the night, he will woke up crying and not getting back to sleep. Feeding him medicine was not a breeze too. Had to coax him and he will cry and keep shaking his head after tasting the yucky fluid.
I need to stop for a while and coax him again to finish up the medicine.
Boy, I was totally stressed out.
Till yesterday, he still wake up in the middle of the night and crying. So i gave him some water and put him co-sleeping with us on the bed. Pat him till he goes back to lalaland.
I hope this will stop soon...i want my loving, cheerful boy back...

Kayden is 10 months old now...
Our little kayden is 10 months old now.
At 10 months.. these are Kayden's developments and milestones:
- say mummum very clearly when he sees food or someone munching away
- calling maa maa or paaa when he's in the mood
- 6 teeth now, 4 upper and 2 lower front
- sway both his hands and body up and down while sitting down when he hears his favourite sound and music. (eg. mickey mouse clubhouse, dibo the dinosaur, picoyo theme sound)
- pull himself up from the lowest level of playpen
- he knows what to do when we say 'luvluv' & also 'sayang'
'luvluv' will means to put his head on that someone
'sayang' means to put his hand on someone and stroke gently
- his fav toys will still be balls & balloons or anything that is round, small or big but will choose Biggg balls most of the time,
if given a balloon with the stick, he will hold on to it tightly and wont let anyone snatch it away. He will cry if someone remove it from his hand.
- Still doesnt crawl on fours nor stand unsupported
These are what i can think of.

Kayden's new tooth member...Again
Again....the 6th tooth is out. He got 4 front teeth and 2 bottom teeth now.
Been waking up at 3plusAm crying for these 2 days. Tried giving him just water then pacifier but still not satisfied. So in the end, popped him a bottle of milk and he's back to lalaland after that.
7plusAm woke up whinning again. He wants milk again and once popped in, he stopped whinning and drank it, either zzz after that or woke up waiting for us to bring him to in laws place.
Think the sprouting tooth irritates him therefore all these wake up session.
Hope he can go back to his old mode on waking up just once in the early morning within 5-7am.

A nicer tooth chart
Kayden's tooth record.
Yesterday found that his 2 upper central incisor is cutting out his gum at his 8th month
No wonder his gum is all red and swollen and milk intake is low again.
Poor boy. Had been applying detinox teething gel to soother him.
Phew...
Scared the hell out of me on Saturday.
Kayden had been co-sleeping with us on bed ever since he was ill with cough & flu.
As usual, after he had slept, I would lay the pillows nicely to block all the gaps where he could possibly have fallen down.
In the Saturday wee morning, I woke up after hearing his cry out to us, as usual thought that he wants milk, still blurry and when i turned facing towards his direction, I couldnt find him there. Then i wear my spec and OMG, I found him at the edge of the bed with body halfway down the bed.
Suddenly i became alert and quickly went to carry him up. My heart really drop for that moment when I saw that....There's a gap inbetween the 2 pillow and thats where he was. Woke his dad up and told him about it.
Lucky my dear bb didnt fall down, if not I really cannot imagine the consequences. Lucky he knows to call out to us to pick him up if not I really don know wat will happen....
After that hooha, i put him in his sarong to sleep again....When woke up, saw his dad and asked him where's baby, cannot imagine I'm still having that incident phobia.
So last night I put him in his playpen (adjusted to the lowest level) to sleep le. Think this have to be the way every night.
Phew! Scared the wits out of me.

Coming 1 years old...
How times flies.
My little boy will have 4 more months to his 1 years old.
I have yet to reserve any venue for his birthday party and yet to source for his birthday cake and party stuffs. Cannot be sitting on it anymore, needs to start sourcing soon to prepare for his big 1.
My gosh...4 more months and my little baby is going to be a toddler.
Day by day, month by month, seeing him grow is such a joy.
From a small, 2.8kg baby to an almost 10kg baby now.
How i miss the time when he's just a tiny weenie baby just waiting to be fed & change and sleep all the time.
At this stage now, its crawling, teething, feeding solids and lots of play.
How my baby had grown....
Cant wait to have more surprises from him.
Beside throwing tantrums, hopefully can see him walk, calling out to mummy and papa real soon.

Saturday full of activities
Saturday, we supposed to go for kayden's 2nd pneumo jab but due to papa working, mummy postponed it to this coming Sat.
So we were off to mummy's 17yrs classmate cum pal, Uncle Lawrence's baby son Andre full month party. Papa was working that day, so mummy's friend came to drive us there together...Poor Mummy had to lug my diaper bag, a bag of presents & even carried me.
We left home at 12plus & reached there at 1. It was at bukit batok...so far away...
Baby Andre looks like an angmo bb with brown hair & slight angmo look. He looks so handsome. Btw, both his parents are local.
Everyone who saw me commented that mummy did a good job in looking after me...Mummy didnt have a camera with her, the below pic was taken by her friend who was playing with her HTC diamond touch phone and testing the camera feature. (mummy looks so fatty)
We left the place at ard 3pm to Novena Square cause auntie jenzel needs to meet up with a client, so longbang her car there. Mummy was thinking to go AMK to find mahmah and gonggong but papa called to say that he will be off work at 4pm.
During the journey to Novena, Kayden was fast asleep and was still asleep when we reached Novena, so mummy got to sling him along the way.
We shopped for awhile with me inside the sling zzz-ing but after awhile, mummy's back starts to ache. So she took a rest at burgerking and had some drinks. Didnt know she can handle all this by herself. She then put down the backpack, took her wallet and sling the fast asleep me to the counter and order drink & food. She looks so clumsy.....
Fed Kayden milk and he woke up after mummy finished her food.
So off we went to cold storage to buy some baby yoghurt for kayden to try. After seeing so many mummies giving their babies yoghurt, thought maybe can try that out too.
1 hour is finally up and papa is here. Lucky mummy can take a break without having to carry or sling kayden...We then head back cause evening we are going to the singapore flyers...It was a last min decision cause Da Po had called in the morning asking if we wanted to go cause he got free tickets. Since its free, might as well as we nv get to sit in that before.
Took some pics at the singapore flyers but haven got them from 2nd SIL so cant load here. Will do so soon.
If you ask me how's the ride, well i dont think its fantastic, my head seems to spin when i'm high inside. View is not so nice cause we took the 7.30pm ride, by then the sky is already so dark, can only see those buildings and construction sites with lights led up. So i would advise whose to take the ride close to evening maybe ard 5pm, think that will be good, the view will be nice too with sun setting.
Btw, we had to pay $10 each for the ride cause his brother makes a mistake and thought that its free. Anyway its still cheap cause the original price per tickets cost $29plus.
After the ride, we head to carrefour for some groceries shopping.
Then home sweet home.
Papa is damn shagged out for that day cause he needs to work and accompany out to do so many activities on that day. :P Me tooo.....dead tired....

Sick bug found us...
Flu & Cough bug had invaded us.
Initially it was little Kayden who had caught it after we are back from the genting trip and after he sort of recovered, then now its mummy's turn to catch them.
Mummy is having flu & cough with headache and sore gums.
Since yesterday, Kayden had caught them again and we just brought him to the PD to have his mucus suck out. Mummy is so heartache.
Mummy is having headache right now, she is sick and now she have to take care of the sick me too.
All you BAD WICKED BUGS, please go away soon...........

Happy 7th Month to Kayden...
Time flies so fast....he's already 7th month now.
His progress till date;
- Can spot 2 pearlie white from the bottom front of his mouth (sprouting since 6 Jul 08)
- Seat up for a longer time
- Can stand for a while with support
- Calling his daddy 'ei ei ei' when he wants his attention
- Can recognise people
- Like to yak his bb language when people is on the phone as in wanting to join in the conversation
- Like to scream
- Can run from his walker
- So far tasted cereal, puree, fruits, vegetable & fish & meat porridge, baby bite, heinz teething biscuits, alittle cheese

Haha...I won. Lucky me.
I won the national family day celebration contest.
Prize is 7 tickets for hippo tour.
Thanks to Wendy for the "好介绍" about this contest. Just to try my luck and see if can win.
Who knows I got a call from them asking me to collect the prize from AMK hub.
When we are there to collect the tickets yesterday, a guy in front of us was trying to argue with the counter young man that the prize can be chosen by oneself. The guy said "The phone guy said can choose the rides one leh"....
Sigh...this type of ppl hor, free one still wanna argue....just take the tickets la...And he got the ducktour loh....not bad leh....still can go down sea after land ride.
I was watching the show from behind and upon hearing the young man said that the prize is randomly selected one, i just prayed hard that I got the flyer tickets.
But who knows,
My luck is only limited to hippotour and its to be used only on 24 May and ride start at 9pm.
Now I'm thinking who to call to go together cause there are 7 tickets. Most prob, asking my sis family with 4 members & us, 3 members. I've checked that infant needs ticket too.
Too bad Linda & family are going China, if not can invite them along too.

Here it goes so that I could check out next time....
These are what my little kiddo can do now.
- Flip at 4th month
- Dislike laying down on bed, wanting to flip whenever he can
- Sit up for awhile for as little as 10 secs then "BuDaoWeng" and goes down to the bed
Its a little fast to be able to sit up at 5 month, usually its suppose to be ard 6 month of age, think because he got big bumbum and thats why can support his body...kekeke
- Still drink 5-6oz of Similac mik
Very little, PD said maybe he's into solid, cereal now and so he reduce his milk intake but its alright since he's growing well and putting on weight.
Doesn't drink much water.
- Love bathing.
Bathing him twice a day, morning & evening
So i assume he will love swimming, will bring him when he's much older and also when the HFMD peak goes down. Mummy already bought him the swimwear, now is to only search for a nice float.
- Love digging ears, hate mummy to stick that wax picker into his nose
Love mummy to use cotton stick and "giaogiao" his ears after bathing.
Dislike mummy to stick the picker into nose to remove any wax.
- Love playing with daddy, doesn't play much with mummy
Just a simple turn of head from daddy to see baby, he will show his cutest smile to him....he knows daddy is playing with him
- Coocoo gaga-ing with ppl
- Love small children
When he sees children playing around, he will sort of shout at them using his baby language like asking why they never play with him.
- Started cereal, fruits & vegetables puree, mummy's porridge, apple juice
He loves them more than milk now. But he still miss his milk and finish it even after few hours of cereal.
- Love babybites biscuits
Keep asking for more and cannot be too slow in feeding him.
- Can move backwards and sideways like a crab on his walker
- Sleep on YaoLan in the afternoon and playpen bed in the night
If we are out, he's able to sleep on his stroller without fussiness.
Sleeping with tummy down during the night.
Used to co-sleep with us on our kingsized bed but since he knows how to turn 45 degrees, we switch him over to his own playpen bed due to space constraint.
- Need his pacifier a.k.a 'Tutu' as soother when sleeping but allow us to pull out after he slept
Faintz, think difficult to kick this habit.
- Need his beansprout pillow when sleeping too and will use it to cover his face.
Probably need a sense of security to have something put on his face.
- Able to recognise ppl
Will stare hard at ppl who talk to him whom he don't know and sulken his face and start crying. But after awhile, he's Ok and willingly to play and smile at him.
- Love to bite & lick & munch on watever he can grab.
1st thing is to put into his mouth
- Wearing Size M diaper, upgrading to L pretty soon due to his biggie thigh.
Diaper brand so far - Mamy poko, huggies, drypers, pampers
- He's an attention seeker
He needs someone to be around with him, dislike to be left alone.
- Dislike sitting in car seat
Wanting to sit up everytime, need to use toys to distract him.
So daddy's car got full of musical toy.
Lastly he loves to play and smile.
Will smile hard and flash his toothless mouth when anyone plays with him.

Phew....finally over
Was on course the whole of last week....attended the Project Management Professional (PMP) course at Global knowledge at Fortune centre. It was tough and everyday the lecturer will only release us at 6pm and there's homework given which is to do the trial exam questions.
Now i finally know the difficulties of some mummies. Its rather tough to tackle studies when you have kids. Every night I was on only bed at 1plus2am after I've done my homework. I started my homework only when kayden is asleep and that is already 11pm.
Finally long 5 days had ended but the challenging part is to about to begin and that is to take the PMP exam. 200 multiple questions will be given. Based on the trial exam papers, all the questions are so tricky. The answer could be A, could be B, C or D as from there we need to find the best answer. Lots of preparation is needed before you can go for the exam.
Read, memorise and swallowing of the course material is needed and this will probably take me a week or more to finish.......How? Wat to do....So stressed. So scared to fail the exam.
Think maybe I shall burn the book and drink it down.
But no matter how, I must try my very best and the most if i'm not sure of the answer, just 'Ti Gum" or simply take a dice and throw..

Happy 5th month my burger
Although mummy is alittle late but would still like to mark this date down.
5 months had past since your arrival. Everything about you seems to be going so fast...from a tiny dot of you to being a 62 cm and 8.5kg boy now. You have brought joy and laughter to us, with sometimes alittle frustated when u are grouchy but overall u are a very good boy.
We will always treasure the growing up moments of you as once you had grown up to be a man, we will sure gonna miss that.
I wish you, my kayden dearest boy to have forever good health and You will always be the sunshine of my life!

Passport for Kayden
Finally....the long wait...
Finally...the long wait....presenting my little hamburger 1st successful flip at 4th month, 1 week.
He did it at Mah Mah house last night at 9 plus when my Meiz put him on the bed. Mummy & daddy were not the 1st to witness his 1st successful flip cause mummy was bathing & daddy was at the living hall....wasted, but overall so glad that he had cleared his milestone on flipping. MahMah was also very happy & surprised that her little '大番薯' (Dua Han Zi (hokkien) can finally flip....hehe
Good job, my boy!
Hope you can give mummy more surprises.
p/s...forgotten to inform my MIL about his flipping last night, guess she may feel alittle jealous cause she didnt get to see babe 1st successful flip & its wasnt done at her house since she is her main caretaker everyday :P

Bye Ki-Ko
Had given Ki-Ko (Kiki & KoKo) away to Derrick's ex-colleague, Desmond as his kids would like to own a pet. He had given us a token instead in exchange for the puppies.
HOpe they can now live happily and able to run about wildly in their house :P
The reason for giving away;
Main concern - Baby's health..
- they cant run about freely in our house anymore
- no time for them, be it playing, bathing, bringing them down for a walk
- always kept in cage which is not that healthy for them
- strong dog smell
After this, I doubt derrick will act on impulse anymore...there goes the 1.1k & more....

New toy
Bought him a safety 1st exersaucer and let him try on it....His legs still couldnt touch the base even if its at the lowest. Had also opened his walker for him to try on and its the same thing. Gosh.....hope he will grow taller fast each day and not be a "wei tu tu" boy.

He's sick again
Kayden is sick again...having cough and sneezing...sighz...hate it when he's sick...Think disease spread by derrick's SIL who's pregnant and was sick last week. Last Friday started with cough when he woke up then flu invaded in the evening, luckily no fever. Brought him to the Paed on Saturday and had some medicine.
Last Thursday, his niece's childcare center had HFMD virus and it spread to some children. Worried that she might kena the virus thus they are not bringing her to school. My MIL was asking me if I could take leave to take care of Kayden myself on Friday as she doesnt want kayden to have the virus should the niece got it. No choice have to take care of him myself just to play safe. I didnt took leave as I had a project cutover on Sat therefore was taking care of him and working at the same time. Kokz...it was tough manz...

Hand, foot mould making for Kayden
Yesterday was at my mum's place and I decided to carry out the hand, foot mould making for Kayden with the help of my Meiz. We started with the small one just in case its not successful. We had the frame painted blue, put some stickers and drew stars to it. Didnt get a chance to snap during the making cause i was busy printing Kayden's hand & foot onto the mould while my meiz was carrying him and Daddy was away prawning with GuGu. And to tell you, its not easy at all having to ply open the little one hand and pressing it on the clay and he doesnt wan to open and we need to press it hard on the clay.....phew...
Anyway, we had succeeded. This is the final masterpiece....Is it nice?
I know the date printed on the clay spolit it, I will get it painted pink one day...And I need to develop a 5R pic to store in it...Check out more pics at photo post.....

Juz call back
He's alright in his usual self and he's drinking his milk as usual...Think I will brood over this incident for several days....Sighz....So careless of me...
So Angry with myself
I'm so angry with myself :`( I've fell while walking up the stairs to the carpark with baby in my hand. And I landed him on 1 of the stairs as I fell....I think his head didn't knocked onto the steps...Quickly picked him up and check on him, he cried for awhile and after much comfort, he stopped crying, i hope its only scared that he cried. I was heartbroken and in tears worrying that he might be hurt somewhere :`( At Mil's place, he was rather settled down and was in his usual self, I gave him some water to drink and before we left to work, he was smiling with us, at this moment I felt alittle better but still hate myself on why i wasn't careful enough :(......Didnt really have the mood to come to work after this incident but no choice today is our office move date, need to finish up packing the remainings. Think most probably will leave earlier to check on him. Didnt dare to tell my MIL about this as we're afraid that she might be worried. Will call back to check on him later....hope he's alright.
Sorry my dear boy, mummy should be more careful and will be VERY careful from now onwards. Will not ever allow this to happen again....I'm So So Sorry! ....Sob Sob :`(

Clothes from Auntie ZhuLin
Daddy brought back a gift one night and he said its from his colleague, Auntie Zhulin.
Thank You Auntie ZhuLin. The clothes are too large for me now. I can only wear and show you when I'm bigger :) Mummy forget to take some pictures of them, will ask mummy to do so to show everyone...."Proud Proud"

Dinner with Linda's family
Had a great dinner with Linda's family last Saturday at Roxy Square YuanYang steamboat......The tomyam soup is nice....Next shall be the mee sua session without the kiddos :) Have to arrange it fast, really miss that stall mee sua....thinking of it makes me drool....yummy..
Alexis is so cute and but too bad, no pictures taken cause we are all hungry for the food.
